San Diego Chargers (28/1 AFC Championship Outright Winner) kept alive their post-season hopes alive, ending a six-game losing streak to demolish Jacksonville Jaguars 38-14.
The Chargers started the game bottom of the AFC West and in need of a confidence-boosting display, with quarterback Phil Rivers responding in fine fashion.
Rivers leads the league in interceptions (17) and turnovers (21) but went some way to proving his critics wrong with solid display in Florida.
San Diego took a firm grip of the game in the first quarter, taking a 10-0 lead, and although they the Jaguars fought back in the second quarter, the Chargers proved too strong and stopped their opponents scoring in the second half.
Three-time Pro Bowl selection Rivers completed 22 of 28 passes, finding Vincent Brown, Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd for long scores.
The result leaves San Diego with a 5-7 record, the same as divisional rivals Kansas City, with four games of the regular season still to go.
