Judd Trump is currently joint third favourite at 8/1 with Mark Selby and Ding Junhui to win the Betfred.com World Snooker Championships after he claimed the UK title in York on Sunday.
The promising 22-year-old has risen to fifth place in the world rankings after he saw off a late challenge from Northern Irishman Mark Allen to take the UK Championship Final.
Trump (7/1 Masters 2012 outright) has enjoyed a strong season which saw him win the title at the China Open and come a close runner up at the Crucible this year.
The Bristolian is now looking ahead to future success and believes he has now got the qualities to compete with the best in the sport as he hopes to challenge for more titles.
He said: “It is just confidence really.
“After I lost in the World Championship [final] I was just happy to come to another big event and play well. But to win it in the way I did is a brilliant achievement.
“I’m getting more table time and match practice. I’m more comfortable playing on TV. It’s starting to pay off.”
