Sinfield eyes Rhinos repeat

England (7/2 Four Nations outright) stand-off Kevin Sinfield is hoping the national side can pull off a similar feat to the Leeds Rhinos this season, as they get set to take on Australia in the Four Nations final.

Leeds finished outside the top four in the Super League at the end of the regular campaign, however the West Yorkshire side came into form at the right time and managed to beat St Helens in the Grand Final at Old Trafford to secure their fourth title in five years.

Similarly England came into the Four Nations with some less than convincing performances but have managed to reach the final of the tournament after their 28-6 victory over New Zealand last weekend.

Leeds like England were underdogs going into their final and Sinfield is hoping his side can pull off a similar upset against the Kangaroos (1/6 Four Nations outright) at Elland Road on Saturday.

He said: “There are some similarities.

“I’m really proud to be part of this group.

“There’s a great team mentality and, in that respect, it’s very much like Leeds and hopefully we can have a similar finish.”
