New Wigan coach Shaun Wane insists his side still have areas in which they can improve following their 54-16 win over Bradford (Super League Grand Final outright – Wigan 3/1).
The Warriors opened their account with a disappointing loss at home to Huddersfield Giants but have since recorded successive victories over reigning Super League champions Leeds and Bradford.
While Wane was delighted with the performance at Odsal, he insists there are still areas in which Wigan can improve.
He told the club’s official website: “We were ruthless and hungry but not for the whole 80 minutes, the majority of the game I was happy. I thought our skill level was really impressive and that was the most positive thing for me.
“The second half we had 90% completion and I think we won the game 36-4 after the break and that is what I am looking at, two performances, first half, second half that we perform at our best. In the Leeds and Bradford game we have done that, we just need to make sure that continues.”
Wigan face Castleford at the PROBIZ Coliseum in their next Super League fixture on Sunday (Regular season outright – Wigan 3/1).
