Sinfield ready for Rhinos return

Kevin SinfieldLeeds Rhinos (13/8 – Challenge Cup outright) skipper Kevin Sinfield says he is fully focused on getting back in the team for the crucial Challenge Cup semi-final showdown with Warrington Wolves on August 9.

The Leeds talisman will be a notable absentee from the squad for Friday night’s West Yorkshire clash with Bradford Bulls at Headingley as sits on the sidelines for the second game of a two-match suspension for a headbutt in the 24-24 draw with Castleford Tigers (Leeds 1/7, draw 25/1, Bradford 9/2 – Match Betting).

Fortunately for head coach Brian McDermott, Sinfield will be available for the encounter with Warrington at Langtree Park as Leeds look to book their place in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley.

Sinfield is looking to put the unsavory incident behind him and now only has the Wolves (2/1 – Challenge Cup outright) in his sights on his return.

He told Sky Sports: “I know what happened. I’m aware everyone else has made their own opinion and has their own comments about it as well.

“For me, I’m focused on Warrington if selected and what’s to come and I’ve tried to make the best of the last couple of weeks.

“We all get things wrong from time to time. I’m certainly passionate about our club and I’m passionate about the sport we’re playing. Sometimes that spills over and that’s life.”
