Amor dreaming of Old Trafford

Kyle AmorSt Helens prop Kyle Amor is relishing the prospect of playing in the Grand Final at Old Trafford should his side beat Catalan Dragons in their play-off semi-final on Thursday (Saints 3/10, draw 25/1, Dragons 5/2 – 80 Minutes).

The forward has only tasted the experience as a non-playing member of a squad as he watched former club Leeds Rhinos beat the Saints in 2009.

After leaving the Rhinos, Amor worked his way up at Wakefield Wildcats over three seasons and the 27-year-old could now be set to win a Grand Final in his first season at Langtree Park.

Amor (33/1 to score last) has been named in the squad for Thursday’s clash and the Ireland international is desperate to be able to enjoy the Old Trafford experience on October 11.

“It would be sensational to go back with a Grand Final appearance. It’s been a pretty exciting few months and I hope this is another step towards the Grand Final,” he told Sky Sports.

“I was lucky enough to have a play-off game with Wakefield when we played Leeds but, other than that and the Castleford game, it’s all new water to me.

“You want to play as high as you possibly can and I can’t wait to go on Thursday because, if we do the job right, it’s a Grand Final and that’s something you dream about.”
