Saracens will hand Joel Tomkins his Rugby Union debut when they host Worcester in the LV= Cup on Sunday (match betting – Saracens 1/7, draw 25/1, Worcester 9/2).

Tomkins made the decision to leave Rugby League side Wigan Warriors and switched codes to join Sarries in November. The 24-year-old will start the round three fixture at outside centre as he looks to make an impact in Rugby Union.

Tomkins, who earned three caps for the Rugby League international side, has already revealed he is keen to establish himself as an international for the England RU side, as former Wigan team-mate and current Sarries star Chris Ashton has done (Handicap -12 (3-Way) – Saracens -12 10/11, draw -12 16/1, Worcester +12 10/11).

Worcester Warriors will hand a debut to Blair Cowan and Worcester forwards Coach Phil Davies believes the Number Eight can impress at Vicarage Road.

He said: “Blair has trained really well and has fitted into the club well. He is a robust character, a good ball carrier and strong addition to the group so we are keen to see him in action.”
