Wales have been installed as strong 4/6 favourites to land the Triple Crown despite a number of injury concerns ahead of the clash against England (3/1, 7/2 No Winner) at Twickenham in two weeks’ time.
The Dragons made it two out of two after a strong second-half performance blew Scotland away on Sunday to win 27-13, on the back of their narrow 23-21 win against Ireland in Dublin on the opening weekend of matches.
Warren Gatland’s men had to do without captain Sam Warburton for the weekend victory as the openside was ruled out shortly before kick-off with a dead leg.
The Cardiff Blues flanker is expected to be fit to face England but wing sensation George North, who has scored seven tries in 13 Tests, is a doubt after limping off shortly before half-time at the Millennium Stadium with an ankle injury.
Hooker Huw Bennett is another injury concern as he was forced off against Scotland at half-time with a calf complaint, while flanker Justin Tipuric had also been sidelined with an ankle problem.
Hooker Matthew Rees, though, is closing in on a return from calf problems, while lock Alun Wyn Jones made his comeback from a toe injury for the Ospreys last weekend.
Wales have now been cut to 6/5 to win the Six Nations title, with France now second favourites at 6/4, while Gatland’s side can be backed at 15/8 to win the Grand Slam, although No Winner remains the more likely outcome at 11/8.
