Rhinos ready for Warriors test

McClennan7911252 292x300 Rhinos ready for Warriors testLeeds Rhinos (4/1 to win 2010 Grand Final) boss Brian McClennan has insisted his players are excited by the prospect of hosting Super League leaders Wigan on Friday night.

The defending champions had a slow start of the season but have managed to come back into the mix, winning four of their last five Super League games.

Wigan are currently four points clear at the top of the table and will be looking to extend that lead, as sides go into the business end of the season.

However, McClennan believes his players are ready for the clash against the efficient Warriors.

The Rhinos coach said: “This week there has been a sparkle in the eyes of the players because we are playing against the form team in the competition.

“Wigan will come here full of confidence and bring their best game with them and that is a challenge that excites us.”

The Rhinos (2/1 to win the 2010 Challenge Cup) also have a Challenge Cup semi-final clash with St Helens to look forward to, which takes at the Galpharm Stadium on August 7.
