Hamilton looking to the future

LewisHamilton3530406 300x211 Hamilton looking to the futureMcLaren driver Lewis Hamilton (7/2 to win World Drivers’ Championship 2012) is hoping his win at the Abu Dhuabi Grand Prix will help to reignite his career.

The 26-year old took advantage of an early puncture from race leader SebastianVettel, before fighting off the challenge of Fernando Alonso after his final pit stop, to prevail for only the third time this season.

It has been a difficult year for the British driver with problems on and off the track, in particular his controversial collisions with Felipe Massa.

Hamilton (3/1 to win Brazilian Grand Prix) described the win at the Yas Marina circuit as one of the best of his career and is hoping he can build on it with success in the final race of the season in Brazil.

“It is early days yet, but this is definitely the start of something hopefully very good,” he said.

“We’ve got another great race ahead in Brazil and I’ve got to put my focus on that and try to keep the momentum.

“With the pressure I’ve been under and the doubt that has surrounded me, I feel massively proud.”

The Brazilian Grand Prix takes place on November 27 from the Interlagos circuit, the track where Hamilton was crowned world champion in 2008.
