Tottenham’s Luka Modric is still unsure of where his future lies as the north London club (11/4 to finish in top four of Premier league) sit out the first weekend of the new season.
Spurs’ opening league fixture with Everton at White Hart Lane has been postponed on police advice, due to the recent riots in the capital.
The Croatian playmaker has seen two bids for his services by Chelsea (3/1 to win the Premier League) rejected this summer by the Tottenham hierarchy.
While Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is adamant that Modric must stay, the star midfielder would not be drawn into declaring his loyalty to the club.
Speaking to RTE Sport, the 25-year-old said: “I don’t want to talk about that, I said before what I think and that’s it.
“I said a lot of things before and still everything is the same at the moment. I will see – I’m still waiting.”
With Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas on their way out of Arsenal in a bid to further their careers, Modric may also be keen to sign for a club with title and Champions League ambitions that Spurs cannot currently aspire to.
