Mancini wants Robinho to stay at City

8159300 300x193 Mancini wants Robinho to stay at CityNew boss Roberto Mancini wants Robinho to stay at Manchester City (EVS to finish top of Premier League without big 4 on outright coupon) and help them battle for the Premier League title for years to come.

The Italian only recently replaced Mark Hughes at the City of Manchester Stadium and put Robinho in his first side against Stoke City.

Robinho had been linked with a move away from England but should feature in Manchester City’s game this evening against Wolves at Molineux (City 5/6 to win, Wolves 10/3 on match coupon).

The £32.5 million Brazilian is reported to have asked Mancini for talks over his plans for City in the future, but the Italian said that he was impressed by how Robinho played against Stoke and is confident he can improve game after game.

“The important thing for me is that Robinho stays here because he can earn a place in the history of the club,” said Mancini.

“I don’t know him very well and he doesn’t know me. Robinho is a great player and I want him to stay with us.”

Mancini could recall Shaun Wright-Phillips to the side as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury, but Roque Santa Cruz and Emmanuel Adebayor are both missing for the Wolves (11/10 to be relegated on outright coupon) game.
