Low upbeat over Germany pair

Germany coach Joachim Low claims he is not overly concerned by strikers Miroslav Klose and Lukas Podolski’s respective poor seasons ahead of the World Cup finals (Spain 4/1f Outright).

The Germans face Serbia, Ghana and Australia in Group D (Germany 7/2 Not To Qualify From Group) in South Africa this summer and Low has hinted that Bayern Munich’s Klose and Podolski of FC Cologne will be in his squad.

He told Kicker: “I know that they have not had very much success this season, but I have no doubts about their quality.”

Germany, who were world champions in 1954, 1974 and 1990, kick off their campaign against Australia on June 13 in Durban.

They then face Serbia five days later in Port Elizabeth before concluding their group campaign against Ghana on June 23 in Johannesburg.

Betfred makes Germany 14/1 shots to win their fourth world title.
