Nicky Henderson’s progressive handicap chaser Quantitativeeasing looks set to run a big race at Cheltenham on Saturday (Quantitativeeasing 6/1f – Spinal Research the Atlantic 4 Gold Cup Handicap Chase).
He is bidding to go one better when runner-up in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at the last meeting when he contests the Spinal Research the Atlantic 4 Gold Cup Handicap Chase at the Prestbury track.
Second to Great Endevaour, who re-opposes on significantly worse terms this time, in last month’s feature event, Henderson’s charge also went close over course and distance when edged out in a thrilling finish to the Centenary Novices Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last March where he only gave best to Divers in the closing stages.
Reported to have come on nicely for his fine debut effort of the season, Quantitativeeasing looks sure to be in the thick of the action at the business end of what promises to be a great race.
Barry Geraghty will be on board Quantitativeeassing with Tony McCoy opting to partner Sunnyhillboy (8/1), both of which are owned by JP McManus.
