Another of the Clive Smith-owned stars, Master Minded (4/7 – Victor Chandler Chase outright), should repair the damage for Paul Nicholls and resume normal service when he challenges for the Victor Chandler Chase at Ascot on Saturday.

Winner of the race back in 2009, Master Minded had been written off by many pundits after performing below expectations for most of last term, but he has bounced back with two high-class victories of late and will be odds-on to land another big prize.

Petit Robin (second to Master Minded at Cheltenham last time out) re-opposes and looks to have solid place prospects, but the gelding (7/1 – Victor Chandler Chase outright) will have to find significant improvement if he is to get his revenge.

Five of the field for Saturday’s showpiece race will be joining Petit Robin in looking for revenge on Master Minded after they were beaten in the Tingle Creek at Cheltenham earlier this season.

Petit Robin (second), Somersby (third), I’m So Lucky (fourth), Gauvain (fifth) and Kalahari King (seventh) will al be hoping to do better at Ascot this weekend.
