Hobbs looks for Ryanair take-off

7991957 300x206 Hobbs looks for Ryanair take offPlanet Of Sound (12/1 ante-post) “is perfectly all right” from his fall at Ascot last month and ready for a run at the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival on Thursday week, according to Philip Hobbs.

The eight-year-old chased home Albertas Run in the Amlin 1965 Chase at Ascot but fell at the fifth fence on his return to Berkshire when he crashed straight into the bottom of the fence.

Hobbs said his charge, who landed Exeter’s William Hill Gold Cup on his first start of the season, has had his confidence restored by going over smaller obstacles and is in good health for his bid for Festival glory (Poquelin 7/2 favourite ante-post).

Hobbs told At The Races: “We started schooling him over smaller obstacles to get his confidence back, but he didn’t seem to need any confidence and he has since schooled well over full-size fences no problem.”
