Snedeker only interested in winning

Post third round co-leader Brandt Snedeker (9/4 favourite – Masters outright) says he will only be thinking about winning when he steps onto the course for the final round of the Masters on Sunday.

The American shot the only bogey-free round in the field on Saturday, cruising to a 69 thanks to birdies at the 12th, 15th and 16th to take the clubhouse lead before Angel Cabrera (9/2 Masters outright) birdied the last to join him on seven-under.

Despite being one of the most solid players in the game, Snedeker is yet to win a major, but has previously recorded some very impressive results in the game’s biggest tournaments, finishing third at both the 2008 Masters and last year’s Open Championship.

However, with him currently being in the form of his life, now seems to be the perfect time for him to break his duck and the Nashville native says winning the Green Jacket will be the only thing on his mind when he tees up on Sunday.

“I’ve spent 32 years of my life getting ready for (Sunday) and I am completely, 100 percent sure that I’m ready to handle this no matter what happens,” he said.

“I’m going to be disappointed if I don’t win, period. I’m not here to get a good finish. I’m not here to finish top 5. I’m here to win.”
