Good Day for Jason at Deutsche Bank

9410263 300x223 Good Day for Jason at Deutsche BankBrandt Snedeker and Jason Day came through different weather conditions to share the lead after two rounds of the Deutsche Bank Championship (Snedeker 10/1 outright, Day 9/2).

The pair are one shot ahead of Matt Kuchar (4/1 outright) and Charley Hoffman going into Sunday’s third round of the FedExCup event.

The second round saw the first bogey-free round for Tiger Woods since he returned to the sport. And it could help him grab a place in the American team for the Ryder Cup.

England’s Luke Donald (12/1 outright) is two shots off the lead going into the third round, after picking up five birdies in a four-under-par 67 for a 10-under total.

Day and Snedeker played in very different conditions on Saturday, as Snedeker went from the rain showers of Hurricane Earl to breezy conditions on Saturday morning in his second round and shot a seven-under 64 for a two-round total of 130.

The wind got stronger throughout the afternoon for Day, who did well to shoot 67 and join Snedeker at the top of the leaderboard.

“I wasn’t liking my odds in the draw when I teed off yesterday,” Snedeker said.

“That being said, I think it’s going to end up working out exactly the same. I think these guys in the afternoon are going to have the tough conditions we had yesterday afternoon.”

Woods was happy with his round, a six-under 65, which put him five under for the tournament.

“I figure if I play two good rounds and win the tournament, I should be all right,” he said.

“I’m still learning to put this thing together. I’m going to have off days.”
