Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told his players to defy the odds and win the Premier League (3/1 Outright) for broken leg victim Aaron Ramsey.
The 19-year-old suffered the injury at the weekend following a robust challenge from Stoke’s Ryan Shawcross in the Gunners’ 3-1 win at the Britannia Stadium.
And Wenger now wants his side to show their support by going on to win the league in Ramsey’s absence.
He said: “It will be tight until the end. But this group is so strong mentally and have a unity so this will give us one more reason to fight until the end and do it for him (Ramsey).
“We had some other problems two years ago. But on Saturday we had a midfield of Nasri, Fabregas, Ramsey, Song, Eboue. They have an average of 20 or 21-years-old.
“Up front, Bendtner is 21-years-old. At their age, to handle the game like they did is absolutely remarkable.”
Ramsey is set to miss between six and nine months of football.
