Manchester City (6/4 Carling Cup outright) defender Kolo Toure believes his team-mate Samir Nasri will learn from his night of jeering at the Emirates on Tuesday.
The Blues managed to come away from the capital with a 1-0 victory in their Carling Cup clash against Arsenal, thanks to a late goal from Sergio Aguero.
Tuesday?s encounter was the first return for French international Nasri following his big money move from the Gunners in the summer.
The playmaker received a hostile reception after he criticised the fans of his former employers for lacking passion at the Emirates.
Nasri has struggled to secure a regular place in the City first-team since his move to the Etihad Stadium but fellow former Gunner Toure is confident his team-mate will have learned a lot from his return to Arsenal.
He said: “He’s a strong boy.
“For me, it was my third time [back at the Emirates] and maybe that’s why I’ve got a good relationship with the Arsenal fans.
“Every time I come here they’ve been fantastic with me. Samir’s very clever and he knows what football is. They love him really, that’s why they put him under pressure.”
Nasri will be hoping to feature for City when they get back to Premier League matters on Saturday, as they get set to take on Norwich City at the Etihad Stadium (Man City 1/6, draw 9/2, Norwich 12/1).
