Carlos Tevez is adamant that he made the right decision in joining Manchester City from Manchester United as he looks to help his current club secure Carling Cup success (City 2/1 Carling Cup Outright) at the expense of the Red Devils.

The 25-year-old Argentinian international quit Old Trafford for Eastlands last summer when United refused to stump up the asking price to turn his loan deal into a permanent switch.

Tevez said: “The welcome I received from the moment I arrived at City has been very special. I was made to feel loved and this means a lot to any footballer.

“I think the United fans know I tried hard. City is my club now, a place where I feel part of everything. Maybe this wasn’t always the way at United.”
