Terry: Everyone has strengthened

3492917 300x215 Terry: Everyone has strengthenedJohn Terry reckons up to seven teams will be battling for the Premier League title and the Chelsea (3/1 – Outright) captain dreams of hoisting the trophy again.

The England ace has seen Chelsea win all their pre-season games under new manager Andres Villas-Boas and he admits the Portuguese boss has brought “new and fresh ideas” to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have signed Oriol Romeu and Thibaut Courtois this summer - with the latter going out on loan to Atletico Madrid - while teenage Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku seems set to arrive soon.

Terry reckons Manchester United (13/8 – Premier League Outright), Manchester City (7/2) and Liverpool (14/1) have all brought in “some good players” during the summer and he thinks “six or seven” sides all have a chance of winning the Premier League title.

“I’m worried about a lot of teams this season. Everyone has strengthened,” he said.

Speaking about Chelsea’s chances of glory, Terry stated: “We can catch Manchester United. We pushed them to the end last season but missed out.

“It drives me on and seeing them lift the trophy still hurts to this day. I want to get my hands back on it.”

Chelsea ace Fernando Torres could miss the team’s opening Premier League encounter with Stoke on Sunday after he was taken to hospital with mild concussion during Spain’s friendly with Italy (Stoke 9/2, draw 14/5, Chelsea 4/6).
