Redknapp looks to strengthen

Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is keen to bring another new signing to further bolster his QPR side (9/2 Championship Outright), despite being unbeaten in their first three games of the season.

The R’s left it late but snatched a last-minute winner on Saturday to pick up three points, with a 1-0 home success over Ipswich.

That result makes it seven points from the opening three matches, with the Loftus Road outfit sat in fifth as they look to bounce straight back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Redknapp though is still eager to bolster what already looks a strong Championship squad, with Chris Baird his main target.

The former Fulham man was released by the Cottagers in the summer and is looking for a new club as a free agent.

Northern Ireland international Baird has been training with QPR in a bid to improve his fitness and impress Redknapp and it looks like a deal could be in the offing.

He told the Fulham Chronicle: “I like Chris Baird. He knows what he’s doing and he’s a good player. I’d like to do something with him.”

QPR return to action to action early next Saturday, when they travel to the Reebok Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers (Match Betting – Bolton 11/8, Draw 21/10, QPR 13/8).
