‘Mission Impossible’ for Jose

10022985 300x206 Mission Impossible for JoseReal Madrid boss Jose Mourinho says his side have “no chance” of overturning their two-goal deficit in the Champions League semi-final against bitter rivals Barcelona next week (Real 14/1 to qualify for final).

An ill-tempered first leg clash between the two La Liga giants ended with the brilliant Lionel Messi scoring twice in the second half to hand Barca a 2-0 advantage ahead of the return game at the Nou Camp.

Messi struck twice inside the final 25 minutes – the second a superb individual goal – to ensure Pep Guardiola’s men already have one foot in the final and Mourinho, who was sent off for complaining at defender Pepe’s red card, virtually conceded defeat in the tie at the end of a dramatic 90 minutes at the Bernabeu (Barcelona 1/2 to win Champions League, Real Madrid 25/1).

“Yes, we are out. Sometimes I am a little bit disgusted to live in this world, but this is the world we live in,” he said.

“We will have to go to Barcelona and look for some pride, without Pepe who didn’t do anything, without Ramos who didn’t do anything and without a coach to sit on the bench.

“As soon as Pepe was sent off, all of their problems were solved.”

Mourinho added: “If, in a sporting sense, it’s difficult to turn this around, I would say it’s now mission impossible.

“If we go there and score a goal, they will kill us again. We have no chance.

“They have to get to the final and that’s that.”
