Lampard reacts to MLS talk

Frank Lampard has said he “wouldn’t rule anything out at the moment” amid talk of a move to the MLS in America for the experienced Chelsea midfielder (Chelsea 9/2 Premier League Outright).

Following Chelsea’s pre-season draw with Paris St Germain in New York on Sunday evening, the England international was asked about speculation linking him with a move to LA Galaxy at some point in the future.

Lampard was spotted in Los Angeles earlier this summer, where he met up with former Three Lions team-mate and current Galaxy star David Beckham, and has been coy about his Chelsea future this summer.

Lampard, who has a year left on his current Stamford Bridge contract, said: “We have a big season. We play in the Super Cup and the World Club Championship in December. Then it’s up to Chelsea.

“If they want to speak with me about my future, then I’ll speak with them. I wouldn’t rule anything out at the moment.”

It is believed the 34-year-old is happy to stay at Chelsea for another year and will hope to play his part in Roberto Di Matteo’s side’s bid to defend their Champions League crown while the new permanent boss will also want to secure a return to the top four in the Premier League (Chelsea 12/1 – Champions League outright 2012-13).
