Kaka makes World Cup pledge

Kaka 8079129 300x201 Kaka makes World Cup pledgeBrazilian superstar Kaka has declared he will be fully fit to play a key part for his nation in this summer’s World Cup (Brazil 5/1 to win World Cup).

The Real Madrid midfielder missed the final La Liga match against Malaga after being hit with a hamstring injury, only a short period after being out of action for six weeks due to another problem.

Kaka has spent time with the medical staff from former club Sao Paulo in Brazil before he meets up with the rest of Dunga’s squad ahead of the World Cup at a special training camp.

Brazil (8/13 to win Group G) have been given a tough draw for South Africa - they are in Group G with Portugal, Ivory Coast and North Korea - so the loss of their playmaker could be a major blow to their aspirations.

Kaka, however, is convinced he will be fully ready to play his part in the summer’s main event despite his recent problems.

“I’m going to be evaluated, they will see my condition and that I won’t have any problems. I will be 100% by the World Cup,” he said.

Sven-Goran Eriksson, who will face Brazil with his Ivory Coast (10/3 to win Group G) side, recently said he was confident his team can beat the Samba Boys and make it into the knock-out stages.
