Gerrard focused on Norwich

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard says the team is desperate to take three points from their Premier League clash with Norwich this Saturday, despite an FA Cup final date with Chelsea approaching ever closer (Liverpool 5/4 to win the FA Cup).

The Reds have already tasted success in the Carling Cup this season, but have endured a difficult time in the league and sit well adrift of the pace-setters as the campaign draws to a close.

But despite having little more than pride to play for in their clash with Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday tea-time, Gerrard says that Liverpool will be pulling out all the stops to secure a win against Paul Lambert’s Canaries (Norwich 9/4, draw 9/4, Liverpool Evens – Match Beting).

“We know our league form hasn’t been good enough, particularly in the second half of the season. We have to concentrate on getting it right – and forget about Chelsea in the FA Cup final,” said Gerrard.

The Reds remain locked in a battle for Merseyside bragging rights with local rivals Everton, and victory could take them above the Toffees in the table ahead of the final four matches of the league season.
