Liverpool great Robbie Fowler admits there’s not much between Harry Redknapp, Martin O’Neill and Roy Hodgson who are all in the frame to succeed Rafa Benitez at Anfield (Liverpool 16/1 to win the 2010/11 Premier League).
The Reds are looking for a new manager after parting company with Spaniard Benitez last week, with former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson throwing his hat into the ring at the weekend by declaring his lifelong support of the club.
But former Liverpool striker Fowler, who now plys his trade in Australia, reckons there are three other strong names in the frame for the rebuilding job on Merseyside.
The Scouser said: “You want someone who has done well in the Premier League and knows how it works so you know, as a top man, why not Harry Redknapp?
“He’s done fantastic with Spurs and he would be a very good manager for Liverpool.
“I’m not saying they’ll go for him but he’s done fantastic at all the clubs he’s been at in the Premier League and so have Martin O’Neill and Roy Hodgson.”
Redknapp and Hodgson’s credentials were boosted last season after leading their respective clubs into the Champions League and to the Europa League final respectively (Spurs 40/1 Champions League 2010/11 Outright).
