Forest boss to ease in Jenas

Nottingham Forest manager Sean O’Driscoll is not willing to rush loan signing Jermaine Jenas back into action but could involve the midfielder in Wednesday night’s Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers (Forest 6/4 draw 9/4 Rovers 9/5 – Match Betting).

The Tottenham playmaker joined the club where he made his name last week but was an absentee from the Forest side that suffered a 1-0 defeat in the clash with local rivals Derby County over the weekend.

Having been plagued by a host of injuries during his career, the England international looks like he will be eased into life in the Championship for his one-month loan deal.

O’Driscoll will not risk rushing Jenas back into action and the 29-year-old could get his first taste of football back in the second tier when City host Rovers (11/2 Championship outright) on Wednesday.

The Reds boss said: “He’s not played a game for Tottenham (this season).

“I imagine playing in the Prem division would be easier than playing in the Championship. (There’s) more quality but this is a difficult league to play in if you’re not match fit.

“He’s got to be match fit, though, that’s the balancing act.”
