Ferguson calm on Tevez impact

4920113 300x221 Ferguson calm on Tevez impactSir Alex Ferguson has insisted Manchester United have “moved on” from Carlos Tevez and stressed his former striker is “not an issue” going into the Carling Cup semi-final first-leg clash against Manchester City at Eastlands on Tuesday (Man City 6/4 draw 11/5 Man United 15/8 – Carling Cup match betting).

Argentina international Tevez (13/2 First Goalscorer) has fanned the flames ahead of his old club’s visit by admitting City are out for revenge for their 4-3 Premier League deerby defeat at Old Trafford earlier this season.

The 25-year-old won two Premier League titles and the Champions League in a successful two-year loan spell at Old Trafford – but has since scored 15 goals in all competitions since making a controversial switch to Eastlands in the summer.

Ferguson has said he will not lose sleep over the prospect of another reunion with Tevez and believes United have not been weakened.

“What Tevez is doing now is not an issue for me,” he said.

“We made a pitch, he didn’t take it, and he went to City. It’s no problem for us, we have moved on.

“It’s not the end of the world for us. He’s done well and so be it, but I’ve got no issues about it.”
