Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes a new generation of talented youth players are just around the corner at Old Trafford (Barcelona Evs, draw 12/5, United 11/4 – Champions League Final - Outright).
Ferguson has been renowned throughout his career of bringing through youngsters from the club’s academy and it looks like a new wave of players will be on the fringe of the first team next season.
United have all but secured the Premier League title, as they only need a single point from their last two games, and they also have a Champions League final against Barcelona to look forward to on May 28.
Ferguson will be putting fear amongst rival clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City (4/6 to beat Stoke City in the FA Cup final) with the news that the future is bright at Old Trafford.
He said: “Over the last decade, we’ve worked upon bringing young talent into the club, like, Wayne Rooney, Chicharito, Anderson and Nani, and we’ve brought all these players.
“But that doesn’t dismiss the fact that we like to produce our own young players and I think there are several players in the present youth team who are doing really well.
“The likes of Ryan Tunnicliffe and Ravel Morrison, you see some of them doing very, very well, so we’re always going to put an emphasis on young players coming through from the youth team. That will always be the case.”
