Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted his players will be ready for the challenge of playing Barcelona in the final of the Champions League on Saturday (Champions League final match prices- Barca Evs, draw 12/5, United 11/4).
United are underdogs going into the final at Wembley, despite looking strong in weeks and securing their 19th league title this season.
The Red Devils (15/8 – 2011/2012 Premier League title outright) have managed to reach the final without too many upsets after beating Premier League rivals Chelsea and Bundesliga outfit Schalke en route to Wembley.
Barca have secured their own domestic title having seen off rivals Real Madrid and are favourites to lift the Champions League trophy in London.
However, Ferguson has insisted the favourites tag will count for nothing when the teams meet and the game gets underway.
He said: “There is no advantage.
“It doesn’t matter.
“We don’t decide those things. I know my players will be ready.”
United lost out to Barca in the 2009 Champions League final and will be looking for revenge this weekend to record an historic double.
