Brazil striker Luis Fabiano (10/1 World Cup 2010 Top Goalscorer) has admitted his admiration for Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson to spark speculation over a summer move.

The 29-year-old is set to enter the final year of his deal at Sevilla and so probably has one big move left in his career should he fail to agree a fresh contract at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Sevilla are known to be canny operators in the transfer market and know Fabiano’s value is set to fall as he approaches 30 years of age.

And Fabiano told the Daily Express: “If you play under Sir Alex Ferguson then you are probably going to win a title or another major trophy.”

However, the former Porto hitman might be disappointed as the Red Devils are thought to be keen to sign younger, cheaper players, with Dimitar Berbatov thought to have been the last relatively old player to have been snapped up for big money.
