Double worry for Germany

Germany are 9/4 to beat Argentina on Saturday but they may have to do it without Cacau who is again struggling through injury, while Lukas Podolski has also suffered an injury scare.

Podolski picked up a muscle strain in training on Wednesday and although the injury is not serious it is still a concern for boss Joachim Low going into the crucial showdown.

The striker, who is 8/1 to grab the first goal, should be fit enough to take his place in the side but the same cannot be said of Cacau, who is struggling with the abdominal muscle strain that forced him to miss the England win.

“Apart from Cacau, all other players are participating in training. He is doing some light running and therapy. But today and tomorrow it will not happen (training with the team).

“So he is also doubtful for the weekend. The final decision will be taken on Friday.”
