Carlo Ancelotti has insisted there will be no let-up from Chelsea in pursuit of the Premier League title in the face of allegations about captain John Terry’s private life (Chelsea 5/6 Premier League – Outright).
Stamford Bridge favourite Terry came under more scrutiny on Tuesday when the west London club were made to settle for a 1-1 draw against relegation-threatened Hull (Hull 8/13 To Be Relegated) at the KC Stadium.
It was the second time he had faced the public since lurid revelations about his private life emerged in the national press, but Ancelotti stressed his captain will not shy away while he has a job to do a Chelsea.
He did reveal he will allow Terry leave of absence when Chelsea meet Cardiff in the FA Cup on February 13, if he requests it, while a decision on whether he will remain as captain of England is expected to be announced on Friday by coach Fabio Capello.
“Nothing can disturb our concentration in this competition,” said Ancelotti.
“I think that Chelsea are focused for every game.
“Sometimes we play good football and sometimes we have more difficulty but the concentration is always on top.
“The atmosphere in the team is the same. No change.”
