Brazil were far from convincing in their first game on Tuesday night when they edged past North Korea 2-1, but they have now jumped ahead of Spain following the upset.

Spain, who are now 9/2, looked to have enough on paper going into the game despite the fact both Cesc Fabregas and Fernando Torres were left on the bench after returning from injury, but they came unstuck as a goal by Gelson Fernandes earned the Swiss all three points.

The reigning European Champions now face a battle to make it out of the group after Chile’s 1-0 victory over Honduras put them on three points along with the Swiss.

Next up for Spain are Honduras and it is a game they simply have to win to have any chance of making it through to the next round.

Argentina, who face South Korea tomorrow, are 5/1 third favourites while England are 15/2.
