Hull City midfielder George Boateng (33/1 to be the first goalscorer on Sunday) believes the Tigers can pull themselves out of the drop zone by beating Manchester United.
Hull (7/4 to beat United in the match betting) have slipped into the relegation places following the Boxing Day games and have won just one of their last six matches.
Their record at the KC Stadium won’t strike fear into the hearts of the United players either, the Humberside outfit having won just 25% of their matches at home in their Premier League history.
Despite all this Boateng has asked supporters not to rule out a victory over Sir Alex Ferguson’s side (5/2 to be outright Premier League winners).
“We gave a good account of ourselves at Arsenal and we have to take that into the United game,” said the former Middlesbrough midfielder.
“We can take heart from our own display and we have to make sure we do the right things against Manchester United.
“The KC Stadium is like a fortress for us, so please do not count us out against Manchester United.’’
If Hull (2/5 to be relegated) are to copy Fulham and beat United they will have to do it without influential midfielder Jimmy Bullard who is still out with a knee injury.
United on the other hand are getting some of their stars back with Wes Brown and Nemanja Vidic both in with a shout of easing the Red Devils defensive woes.
