Rafael Benitez has reiterated his guarantee that he will deliver Champions League football for Liverpool next season (Liverpool 7/4 favourites – Top 4 Finish).

The Reds missed a golden opportunity to climb above Tottenham in fourth place on Sunday when they had to settle for a drab goalless draw against fellow Premier League top-four hopefuls Manchester City (11/10 – Without Big 4) at Eastlands.

Benitez bullishly predicted earlier in the season he would lead Liverpool back to Europe’s elite club competition and is convinced they will crack the top four now that they have key players coming back from injury.

The Spaniard told Sky Sports: “I have to believe. If the manager doesn’t have confidence it is difficult for the players.

“I think we have enough quality, Yossi (Benayoun) is coming back, (Fernando) Torres is coming back, hopefully (Glen) Johnson will come back in the next week.

“So we are now bringing players back and the competition will be better for us and hopefully we can improve.”
