Betfred now makes Manchester United 4/1 second favourites to win the Champions League but legend David Beckham wants his old club to go one better.

The former England captain was part of the AC Milan squad which was hammered 4-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night as the Red Devils went through 7-2 on aggregate.

And United fan Beckham now wants Sir Alex Ferguson’s side to go on and lift the Champions League for the second time in three years.

The on-loan LA Galaxy star said: “When you get knocked out of a competition you kind of hope that the team that knocks you out goes all the way.

“I really hope they go all the way.”

Beckham won the Champions League with United in 1999 but he may not get another chance in Europe’s elite club tournament.
