Arsenal ace Andrey Arshavin admits the Gunners’ Premier League title chances (12/1) have been hit after Manchester United (2/1) completed the double over them this season.

The Red Devils were too strong for Arsene Wenger’s side at the Emirates on Sunday but things do not get much easier for the north Londoners with games against Chelsea (4/7) and Liverpool (100/1) on the horizon.

Arsenal go into the weekend having taken one point from the last six on offer and Arshavin admits their title chances have taken a blow.

He told his personal website: “It is getting even harder to believe that we can win first place after such defeats.

“I divide the games with Aston Villa, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool into two parts – the first part has been held, there are still two more games, I hope we will conduct them better.”
