Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is refusing to rule out Arsenal in what he predicts will be a “long race” for the Premier League title (Chelsea 10/11 Man United 6/5 Arsenal 8/1 Premier League – Outright).
The leaders dropped points on Wednesday when they were beaten 2-1 by Everton and 10-man Manchester United could only manage a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa.
Arsenal bounced back from consecutive defeats by Chelsea and United by beating in-form Liverpool (6/5 Top 4 Finish) 1-0 on the same name and have closed the gap at the top to just six points.
“Things change in football quickly, so Arsenal had a very good result,” Ancelotti said.
“They can come back. Six points is not so much and they could come back and get the title.”
Some of Arsenal’s players have cast doubt on their own ability to win a first domestic crown since 2004 in recent weeks but Ancelotti is taking nothing for granted.
“I think so [it will come down to last day of the season],” he said.
“I think it will be a long race and every team can show their best until the end of the season.”
