The Football Association have confirmed Fabio Capello will remain as England boss despite the Three Lions dismal World Cup campaign (check out the latest World Cup markets).

England struggled to emerge from a group that included the USA, Slovenia and Algeria before being dumped out in a 4-1 last 16 defeat to Germany, which led to speculation the 64-year-old Italian could be axed.

However, the FA have now revealed they will stick with the former Real Madrid coach despite the disasterous campaign in South Africa.

Club England chairman Sir Dave Richards said: “We remain convinced that Fabio is the best man for the job.”

Capello will now lead England through their European Championship 2012 qualification fixtures, which begin in the Autumn (keep an eye out for Euro 2012 betting).
