Doug Bollinger has backed his Australian bowler partner Shaun Tait to help his side avoid an unprecedented whitewash against England (11/4 to win the Ashes this winter)
The Aussies trail 3-0 in the series and are determined to record a victory against an inform England side who are confident in the shorter forms of the game after winning the ICC World Twenty20 tournament in the Caribbean.
Australia have struggled in the bowling department but Bollinger believes that Tait can turn the tide for his side in this series.
He said: “For me he can have a massive effect on the series. If he keeps bowling well then he’ll take a lot of wickets – and I hope he does.
“Everyone hasn’t bowled badly. But he bowls extremely fast and adds the x-factor to the team, so it’s great to have him in the team.
“He’s a great guy to have in the dressing room too, so to have him available is like a breath of fresh air,? he added.
England on the other hand will look to maintain their winning run when they take on Australia in the next match at The Oval on Wednesday (England 10/11, Australia 5/6).
