Hussey out to top England

9839779 300x181 Hussey out to top EnglandAustralia (3/1 Ashes 2013 outright) batsman Mike Hussey has revealed his side’s determination to claim top spot in the world Test rankings, with England stumbling against Pakistan this week.

England find themselves 2-0 down in their series in the Middle East after collapsing to defeat in the second Test in Abu Dhabi having put themselves in a strong position to win the encounter.

Captain Andrew Strauss and his players are wavering at the top of the rankings whilst Australia have completed a 4-0 series win against India this week.

Victory in Adelaide secured the whitewash against the Asian outfit and now the Baggy Greens are looking to get back to the top of the pile.

Batsman Hussey has insisted his side can build on their success against India and will be looking to leapfrog England (8/15 Ashes 2013 outright) in the rankings.

He said in Perth newspaper The Sunday Times: “There’s no hiding our ambition in the wake of our 4-0 Test series win over India.

“We want to reclaim the world number one mantle from England. How often do we talk about it? Every day.”
