Button bemused by Bull’s speed

8326433 300x199 Button bemused by Bulls speedJenson Button says he can’t understand where the Red Bull’s are getting their speed from as the reigning world champion (10/1 to retain his crown) was once again out performed by Sebastian Vettel (2/1) ahead of the Hungarian GP.

The Red Bull’s have been the fastest cars on the grid this season and once again showed it in both of Friday’s practice sessions at the Hungaroring, Vettel setting the fastest time of one minute 20.087 seconds.

Team mate Mark Webber finished second in the morning, although Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso managed to separate the pair in the afternoon session.

The battle for pole looks again as though it will be between Webber (7/2 to win the Hungarian GP) and Vettel (6/4), Red Bull having dominated the front of the grid for the majority of the season.

Despite their dominance in qualifying it is Lewis Hamilton who leads the way at the top of the Drivers’ Championship, 21 points clear of the Red Bull drivers.

Close behind Hamilton is team mate Button, who managed to finish fourth and ninth in the morning and afternoon sessions.

Despite the decent performances Button found himself off the pace and admits it will be tough to stay on the tails of the two Red Bulls this weekend.

“The Red Bulls seem to be in a league of their own, but the Ferrari was very strong,” said the world champion.

“The car isn’t too bad around here. I just don’t know where those guys are getting their performance from.”
