Freddie Roach has said Manny Pacquiao is “right where I want him to be” ahead of his huge showdown with Miguel Cotto on November 14 (Pacquiao 1/2, draw 25/1, Cotto 13/8 fight prices).
Filipino superstar Pacquiao hopes to cement his status as the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet by beating WBO welterweight champion Cotto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
He was made to move training camps when a violent storm struck the mountain resort of Baguio in his homeland, but Roach believes his charge is in top condition.
Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KOs) arrives in on the back of resounding victories over Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton and will be gunning for an unprecedented world title in a seventh weight division when he faces the tough Puerto Rican (Pacquiao 7/2 to win on points round betting).
Roach has no qualms about Pacquiao and is confident the 30-year-old has the skills set to beat Cotto.
“He is right where I want him to be, perfect,” said Roach.
