Nikolai Valuev has vowed to ram David Haye’s taunts back down his throat when they finally get it on in (Haye 8/13, draw 33/1, Valuev 5/4 fight prices) Nuremberg, Germany, on Saturday.

London boxer Haye has guaranteed bums on seats with his one-man taunts at Russian man mountain and WBA heavyweight champion, branding his opponent the “bogeyman”, “hairy freak” and “circus act”.

Haye was not so vocal when confronted with Valuev at a press conference on Wednesday but vowed to deliver on his promise of sending the Russian to the canvass (Haye 28/1 round one Round Betting).

“It’s nothing unusual to hear stuff like that and that someone would like to knock me out,” said Valuev.

“But to speak a lot before the fight is easy and everyone can do that. You have to prove it and show what you can do in the ring.

“We’ll see what you can do on Saturday. You (Haye) have a few more days to tell us what you intend to do on Saturday but then, finally, we’ll see what happens.”
