When you are playing in a sit ‘n’ go or multi-table tournament you should be aiming to finish first and not just to make the money. The majority of poker tournaments have a top heavy payout structure so you often need to finish in the top 3 for a substantial win.

Whilst making it into the money is generally a good thing, a series of small cashes will not be enough to recoup the entry fees of tournaments where you inevitably do not cash. Aim high, win big that is my motto.
