In order to stay ahead of the increasing antes in a poker tournament, it is important that you start to steal the blinds on a regular basis, otherwise the antes will eat into your stack and you will be heading for the exit rather quickly.

The key to stealing blinds is observation and position. The ideal scenario for blind stealing will see you in late position (either the cut-off or the button) the action will have folded to you and the blinds will be tight players. Whilst blind stealing is important, try not to over use the move otherwise the table will realise you are continually stealing and start to play back at you.
