The month of January is all but completed and I am pleased to report that it appears to be ending on a more positive note thanks to a nice little session last night that saw me make it to three final tables. Although I did not make it into the top three places of any of the poker tournaments I played it was certainly nice to book a win, even the small one of around four buy-ins.

As I played 32 tournaments last night I have now played 200 tournaments in January so thought it would be a good time to list my playing statistics. From the 200 tournaments I have cashed a total of 27 times, or 13.5% ITM if you would prefer. From those 27 cashes there have been 13 final table appearances including two outright wins, which have helped me achieve a 16.6% Return On Investment (ROI). Whilst this is not the figure I was aiming for, as I wanted around 40%, it is a step in the right direction and it is profit after all. I’m actually quite proud of finishing the month in the black especially after dropping more than 70 buy-ins over the last 107 games, hopefully I won’t have to go through that again any time soon.

I should get to play some tournaments tonight but we will see how I feel. Two hundred is a nice round number but if I get the urge to fold my way to ten big blinds then start push-botting them I may just log on and grind 20 or 30 games and see if I can make it 20 final tables in a month and five wins. Unlikely I know but God loves a trier and I certainly try you have to give me that!
